OFFICE@home

HOME OFFICE

Hmmm...unmanagable files and books, haywire wires hanging around everywhere, pictures frames gone cross, no inspirational item, broken chair...uff...all these describe your office?

Well...I think you need to change a lot...
Home office is the place where you need to engage your thoughts a huge and big landscape of creativity.
When can this be a fruitful produce? Only when
1. There some peace in your office
2. There is some inspirational item to look on.
3. No unnecessary items interrupting your thought process.
4. All required items are visible and reachable.

These are achievable only in a space where there is good lighting, ventilation and GOOD INTERIORS

Lets first manage the files, books and all the paper work. First divide your files and books as most used, rarely used. And then your paperwork, finished and unfinished.

A normal filing and books cabinet with slotted angles with adjustable racks.

Or a very stylish and easy to use rack.

Now these are for the files which would be on the display or categorized under rarely used.

For the file which you would want to use regularly can be assigned a place near your seat as it would be most easy to reach.

Do you have the right chair and table?

Ever heard of ergonomics.....our body or rather our spine need to set itself in a balanced posture.

This is about the chair...now the table or desk. Desk needs to be according to your work style..i mean...there people like myself who need a good desk space for drawings etc, but many like my
husband just need space for their laptop.

The best study desk need to be modular in nature and space conscious.

PLEASE CHECK FABFURNISH

So after our plans on desk area, let talk about the most important aspect of the room
LIGHTING!
Why this is important, because lighting should focus your work area and the whole space. Like the study should have study light.

And the whole room to have white light to spread the light and clutter the light at one place.

I suggest using LED lights for power saving and a better light source. You may have standing lights for a cloudy scene. Yellow lights are an option for this kind of lighting as they act a subtle daylight for reading.

WIRES- ALWAYS A MESS!

Please segregate system wires which are permanently set and charging, etc wires which are temporary.

So for this clamp the wire together according to their respective designation i.e permanent and temporary with cable ties or rubber bands.

Put your extension board such that it is easy to manage.

Or just a shoe box.

Bring these wires up to your system and clamp them. Easy way to unclutter your wires on desk

Now some pics for inspiration...

Few accessories like soft boards, shelves etc....

Try to incorporate all the colors to make the room lively and spontaneous...

So here is your office.....
