Hey all...been long time...I was out my LAPTOP- eans not in touch with it..
Well...actually I was busy to use and I guess it got pissed and stopped working...
Hmmm...now I am on my husband laptop for few days...giving my laptop a lil beak...so that we each sort our terms out...heheheh
The other day I was with one of y client and his house had a fairly small living room and the space for built such that we could not afford to build a wall between living and kitchen.
So what we did is - open kitchen which is what I do for most of my clients.
Recently I have realized that many ppl do not have space for dining table so.....
BREAKFAST TABLE, so called take the place of the dining tables but there are few things that need to be adhered for such an replacement.
Lets understand the difference between breakfast and dining table.
BREAKFAST TABLE : This table is fairly higher than dining table and they are attached to the work counter of kitchen. They are pretty small in breadth than dining table and the seating arrangement is
linear.
DINING TABLE : They are shorter in height and proportionate in breadth. They need a special place in the house and becomes useless if any of the one end is attached to a wall or platform.
Now what happens when we mix both the concepts. We get a dining table with no space to waste...
This Pic says that we incorporate storage too but if your family is of four or more you can have chairs on both side of the platform...
Keep it as simple as you can, that would add functionality and space both...
Remember to designate a function to this multifunctional platform, like this pic shows to have a wash area but other better and indian option is to use this platform as a work platform only...i.e to cut, chop or make chapathis...which then can be served hot right on the table.
Well all said and done...every function of every space in your house needs to be thought by you...
Best of luck and please comment...
